This warm weather discharge lake is well known for its abundance of fishing opportunities, especially in the winter months. The lake is highly ranked for its largemouth bass populations as well as those of blue and channel catfish. Its crappie and wiper populations are also highly sought after. Two boat ramps access the lake, though boating is limited to fishing only.
However, fishing isn't the only activity you can enjoy. Linn County Park is home to over twenty miles of horse trails, a swimming pool, picnic shelters, and a basketball court.
The marina is complete with live bait, tackle, gas/oil, and a variety of food and beverages.
Located just north of the junction of U.S. Highway 69 and Kansas Highway 152, Linn County Park is a full service park. It offers electrical and water hookups, dump stations, picnic shelters, bath houses and rest room facilities, a full service marina, boat ramps, an archery range and a swimming pool. Rental cabins are available year-round for those not wishing to camp. Camp sites are available on a first-come first served basis. The park offers hiking, sightseeing, and a horseback trail for groups and individuals with their own mounts.

Duck and goose hunting is permitted on the lake.
No swimming or water skiing allowed

The public swimming pool is open Memorial Day through Labor Day weekend. Pool hours are Thursday through Sunday, noon to 5:00 p.m.; Friday and Saturday, 1:00 p.m to 5:00 p.m., and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
